Dr. Muhammad Sagir (Associate professor)

Dr. Sagir has over 15 years of research experience in the field of “Chemical Sciences”. In this period, he has been working in Malaysia & Pakistan. He is currently working as Head of Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Gujrat. Currently, he is involved in 4 different Research projects as PI, Co-PI & collaborator and has also been a part of a number of research projects completed in various capacities. Dr. Sagir has supervised a number of MPhil students’ thesis and a few number of MPhil students are currently under his supervision. He has published “89-90 Journal papers” in International Peer Reviewed Journals with high impact factors. Also others, over 40 abstracts in International Conferences. Research Experience:
Sile Brennan was appointed as a lecturer in Hydrogen Safety in 2008 and has been course director of the BEng/MEng Safety Engineering and Disaster Management since 2016.Dr Brennan’s research interests are in CFD modelling of hydrogen releases and fires and her work in this field has generated refereed papers. She has been involved in a number of large European research contracts. She is currently coordinating the FCH JU HyResponder project (https://hyresponder.eu/) a European train the trainer programme for responders in Hydrogen Safety. She has previously participated in the European project HyIndoor involving pre-normative research on the indoor use of hydrogen and fuel cell systems, and the European H2FC infrastructure project where she coordinated the European technical school on hydrogen and fuel cells.Dr Brennan obtained a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin before completing her PhD at Queen’s University Belfast. She joined the HySAFER team at Ulster University in 2007 and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Dr. Md. Hasanuzaman is currently Associate Professor and Programme Coordinator (Master of Renewable Energy) in the UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE), University of Malaya. He has completed his PhD and M. Eng. Sc. from University of Malaya. He was graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Presently he is Associate Editor, Alexandria Engineering Journal (ISI Indexed, Q1), Elsevier, Guest Editor: Special Issue, Renewable Energy (ISI Indexed, Q1), Elsevier, Associate Editor in Chief International Journal of Renewable Energy Resources and. He is also Editorial Board member of several international journals. He works in the field of Thermal Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Energy, Solar Thermal Energy, Energy and Buildings, Energy Policy, Transport and Electric Vehicle.
He is an editor as well as author of a book: Energy for Sustainable Development (https://www.elsevier.com/books/energy-for-sustainable-development/hasanuzzaman/978-0-12-814645-3). He is the author and co-author more than 90 research papers and 50 conference proceedings. Dr. Hasanuzzaman has 2779 citations with an h-index of 28 in Scopus index and 3882 citations with an h-index of 32 in Google Scholar. He has supervised 27 (degree completed) and more than 20 under supervision (degree ongoing) of postgraduate students. He has secured and managed more than 7 million Ringgit research grants as a PI & Co-PI national and international funds. He received University of Malaya Excellence Awards 2012 for his outstanding achievement in PhD, Bangladesh Scholarship Council and the Nippon Foundation, Japan, 2003-2004, Scholarship of Graduate Research Assistantship Scheme, UM.
Dr. Hasanuzzaman is an expert and has verse knowledge of Research and Teaching in the field of Thermal Engineering, Energy, Renewable Energy, Solar Energy, Solar Thermal, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy Policy. Most of his papers have been published in top ranking journals (i.e. Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, Solar Energy, Renewable Energy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Solar Energy Engineering, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, International Journal of Green Energy, Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, Clean Technology and Environmental Policy etc.) in the field of Energy. Assoc. Prof. Shien-Ping Feng

Research Experience:
Dr. Shien-Ping FENG is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He received his BS, MS, PhD from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. Before entering academia, he was an engineer and manager at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company from 2001 to 2008 and a deputy director at Tripod Technology Corporation from 2008 to 2009. He was employed as a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011. He joined HKU as an Assistant Professor in October 2011 and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in September 2017. His research focuses on the development of electrochemical technology for low-grade heat recovery, solar and indoor light harvesting, and nanomaterial fabrication. Dr. Feng’s research has been well funded by external competitive grants as well as industry from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and USA. He has published 107 journal papers and 4 conference papers. He holds 21 patents. Through his patented technologies, Dr. Feng and his team established two start-up companies. Dr. Feng received the HKU Research Output Prize and Faculty Knowledge Exchange Award, the Silver Medal Award at the 2nd Asia Exhibition of Inventions, the Gold Medal Award and Top 10 Best Invention Award at the 5th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN), the Business Start-up Award and Energy Award at the IChemE Global Awards, and the Gold Medal Award at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (2021 Special Edition). He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Chartered Scientist (CSci), a Fellow (FIMMM) of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, and a Fellow (FRSC) of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
